The Family behind Everest

Emiliano and Alma opened their first ice cream shop in 2016 with hopes to share their culture and their food with others. Their story is one of a kind. They are the first in their family to become business owners. They opened their first barbershop in Astoria, Queens NY. And after many years in the barbershop business they decided to take a leap of faith into the world of food. At Everest Ice Cream Shop you will find traditional and homemade Mexican snacks and food. We are family owned and operated and have been in the community for over a decade. We hope that our shop is a space for couples families and friends to come together to enjoy a piece of our culture.

2002

Emiliano and Alma have been business owners for over 2 decades. Their first business opened in 2002. It was a barbershop that is still open till this day. It is currently run and operated by a close family friend.

HOW IT STARTED

2007

Alma and Emiliano open Imperial Barbershop in Elizabeth NJ. The barbershop is still owned and operated by the family.
